The strong low pressure system that moved into the area causing massive flooding on the North Shore is finally moving on. We are still experiencing rising water in a few locations, but most rivers are beginning to fall.
The Flash Flood Watch expired at 6 pm and leaves only the latest update to the Flash Flood Warnings for Livingston, Tangipahoa and St. Tammany until 11:45 pm. Expect much improved conditions for Sunday as high pressure and drier conditions move in to finish out the weekend.
The dry period will stick around for the start of the week with our next chance for rain coming mid to late week.
