LSU's embarrassing 71-38 loss to Texas A&M in the SEC Tournament yesterday, was the final reason LSU won't be in NCAA tournament this year. The brackets were announced today with no Tigers in the "Big Dance". Last year LSU made the tourney, but lost to N.C. State in the first round.

The Tigers finish their season with a 19-14 record .

LSU made just one of its final 16 field-goal attempts over the final 15:47 of the half against A&M, including a 14:29 drought, and committed 11 turnovers on 32 first-half possessions (34.4 percent) en route to its biggest loss of the season.

The team's previous largest margin of defeat came by 20 points at Arkansas on Feb. 23.

Jerit Roser of NOLA.com | The Times-Picayune also pointed out the 33-point margin of defeat is the program's worst since an 82-44 loss — 38 points — at Kentucky on Jan. 15, 2011.
