Yesterday Morris Claiborne's 2011 LSU season ring was listed on eBay with an opening price of $100,000. Each player received this ring representing an SEC title championship, and BCS appearance. The Tigers lost the title game to Alabama 21-0. Both events are celebrated on the sides of the ring.

Today the former LSU cornerback sent out a release disputing his involvement of trying to sell the ring.

“I was not aware that my LSU ring from the 2011 season was being auctioned on eBay until I saw a post about it yesterday afternoon on social media. I love LSU and treasure all of my LSU possessions. I would never sell any of my LSU memorabilia as the time I spent on the LSU campus are some of my most special memories. The ring was taken from me without my knowledge and I’ve taken the necessary steps to get it back. I truly apologize to all LSU fans, teammates, coaches and supporters for this unfortunate situation. I am forever an LSU Tiger.”

Claiborne recently signed a one-year, $3 million deal with the Cowboys. He was given a $500,000 signing bonus and his new deal includes incentives worth $1 million.

Today's work was much lighter between the Saints and Chargers was much lighter. They wore no pads only shells and helmets, and they only practiced two hours instead of two and a half like Thursday.
