Red Cross opens four more shelters to help flooding victims in Louisiana

The American Red Cross opened four shelters Tuesday night for those affected by flooding in Louisiana.

Those shelters are providing meals and distributing relief supplies.

Four additional Red Cross shelters opened Tuesday night:

Natchitoches Parish

  • Martin Luther King Recreation Center – 660 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, Natchitoches, La. 71457

Rapides Parish

  • Cleco – Old Building – 201 Cleco Drive, Pineville, La. 71360

St. Tammany Parish

  • Community Christian Church – 1460 N. Lindebert, Slidell, La. 70458

Washington Parish

  • Elizabeth Sullivan Memorial United Methodist Church – 510 Avenue B, Bogalusa, La. 70427

The community-run shelter in Red River Parish closed.

Nearly 200 people spent Tuesday night in 16 Red Cross and community shelters in Louisiana, according to the relief agency.
