DAYTON, OH (WVUE) - -

Southern is out of the NCAA Tournament before it really starts as the Jaguars came up short in the "play-in" game against Holy Cross in Dayton, Ohio by a final score of 59-55.

The Jaguars got off to a slow start, trailing 25-13 in the closing minutes of the first half, but battled back little-by-little. Thanks to a combined 24 points from the duo of Adrian Rodgers and Shawn Prudhomme, SU took the lead at several points in the second half.

Holy Cross was able to finish the game on an 11-6 run, including eight-straight free throws made, to secure their birth into the field of 64, where the Crusaders will face top-seeded Oregon.
