The Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality’s air monitoring system allows users to request alerts when an air quality standard is over a certain threshold, or predicted to exceed the threshold.

Users can subscribe to e-mail alerts at 28 different monitoring sites around the state. The sites collect information about sulfur dioxide, particles in the air, and ozone levels.

To see the current air quality monitor reports, go to http://airquality.deq.louisiana.gov/.

To be alerted via e-mail when air quality levels are low, subscribe to alerts by clicking here: https://airquality.deq.louisiana.gov/Subscriptions/Manage.

To get air quality forecasts for a particular area, sign up for the EnviroFlash newsletter here: http://www.deq.louisiana.gov/portal/tabid/2880/Default.aspx.

These services are free to the public through the Louisiana DEQ website.
