LSU baseball drops in polls after losing series to Alabama

BATON ROUGE, LA (WVUE) -

LSU's disappointing weekend series loss to Alabama dropped the Tigers out of the top 10 of all major polls.

The Crimson Tide beat LSU 6-0, and 4-3 in the first two game of their series. The Tigers came back with sixth runs in the eighth inning to salvage a 7-5 victory on Sunday.

The Tigers fell from 7th in the D1Baseball.com to 10th, and seventh to 13th in Baseball America. LSU is 15th in the Collegiate Baseball poll.

LSU next plays Tuesday night at 7 p.m. in the Wally Pontiff Classic against ULL.
