4 FedEx workers arrested at Kenner shipping center

Kenner Police arrested four employees from the FedEx Shipping Center on Monday for theft.

Police said the employees were arrested after police received a Crimestoppers tip which was then shared with FedEx investigators who looked into the internal theft of phones, watches and other electronic devices from the facility.

Police said the people arrested were employed as package handlers. They are identified as: Earl Jones, 21, Murl Street, New Orleans; Joshua Davis, 25, Mazant Street, New Orleans; Daquan Thomas, 20, Harrison Avenue, New Orleans; and Christopher Washington, 25, Laharpe Street, New Orleans.

Investigators said after the investigation, and upon confronting the four employees, they turned over cellular phones and smartwatches.

Police said the employees admitted to the thefts. The aggregate value of all stolen property recovered was listed as $13,428.
