After a chilly wake up this morning with 30's and 40's for morning lows, temperatures have warmed into the upper 60's and low 70's this afternoon. This will be noticeably warmer than yesterday's high of 61°. Overnight will be mild as well with lows only dipping to the 50's on both sides of the lake.
Cloud cover will build in throughout the night and tomorrow. The next chance for rain arrives Thursday with a cold front. Showers and thunderstorms are likely, although the severe threat seems limited at this time. Behind the front, cooler air moves in with highs in the 60's for Good Friday.
Rain chances have increased in our forecast for Easter weekend, but forecast guidance models continue to disagree on when or how much. For now, the Crescent City Classic on Saturday looks dry, and Easter Sunday appears to have the best chance for rain. Hold off on canceling any outdoor plans just yet, but prepare for the possibility of some rain this Easter.
