(WVUE) -

The third game of the Pelicans' current home stand starting on a promising note as Pierre the Pelican drained a no-look, reverse, granny shot from half court but the momentum did not carry over as the home team fell down 35-21 after the first period, only to fall by a final score of 113-99.

Luke Babbitt was a bright spot on the night, scoring 23 through the first three quarters, putting him on track to surpass his career-high of 24 but could not get over the hump in the final 12 minutes. In the end, Jrue Holiday led the team with 24, while fellow guards Toney Douglas and Tim Frazier combined for 25.

The Pelicans hit the road Thursday to face Indiana before coming back home to host the Raptors Saturday and Knicks Monday.
