Today was a mostly sunny and warm day with passing clouds. Tonight more clouds move in and it's not out of the question, some folks run into a stray shower. The heavy rain holds off until Thursday as a cold front is pushed south. Until then temperatures show a major rebound into the mid to upper 70's on a southerly wind. Mild overnight with lows dropping to the 60's north and south of the lake.
Thursday showers and thunderstorms are likely with a very limited severe threat. The storm prediction center keeps us just outside of its risk categories. It looks like we get cooler air in behind the front with highs in the 60's for Good Friday.
The Crescent City Classic on Saturday should stay dry, but there is a chance for rain Easter Sunday as the front moves back our way as a warm front ahead of the next trough. That trough should move through by Monday afternoon allowing us to clear out by midday.
