Bruce: Rain on the way out

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

The bulk of the rain has moved east of our area, pushed by the main cold front will arrive by dark. Clouds will break after midnight allowing drier air to move in.

As the cooler, drier air moves in behind the cold front tonight we'll wake up in the 40s and 50s tomorrow morning. Highs will stay in the 60s for most with plenty of sunshine for Good Friday.

We should have fantastic weather for the Crescent City Classic on Saturday. Dry skies and a cool start will be great for runners and walkers. Unfortunately, rain does look likely for Easter Sunday as the front moves back our way as a warm front ahead of the next trough. Cooler, drier conditions are expected for early next week.
