NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

Good Friday in southeast Louisiana means long lines at seafood stores.

At Big Fisherman Seafood on Magazine Street they are getting things ready. They've got thousands of pounds of crawfish and other seafood offerings perfect for Easter weekend.

Owner Henry Poynot got the pots boiling early!

"We got custom crab boil and deep south blend for us, and we have Chinese pepper, salt, bayleaf, and garlic. There's a secret touch in the boil that I can't expose yet. I'm not ready to retire," said Poynot.

At Big Fisherman, boiled crawfish are $4.29 a pound, but if you buy 10 pounds or more they are $3.99 per pound.

"We have potatoes, corn, garlic, sausage all boiling in the seasoned water. We also have mushrooms," said Poynot.

Big Fisherman is open until 6 p.m.
