COLLEGE STATION, TX (WVUE) -

For the second weekend in a row LSU has lost an SEC series. The latest setback came courtesy of a 3-1 loss to Texas A&M Saturday. The Aggies took the series 2-1. That was the same story last week when Alabama came Alex Box Stadium escaping with two victories.

LSU drops to 16-7 overall and 2-4 in league play.

Tiger starter John Valek III suffered his first loss of the season, giving up two runs on six hits in six innings. LSU's only run came off a Greg Deichman solo home run in the fifth inning.
