Depleted Pelicans fall against Toronto

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -

The Pelicans injury-ravaged roster was no match for the Raptors Saturday night, falling 115-91. The Pels were down to just nine players on the active roster because of injuries.

 Alonzo Gee led the Pelicans with 18 points. Luke Babbitt added 14 points off the bench.

The Raptors were paced by DeMar DeRozan's 23 points.

The Pelicans return to action Monday night at home against the Knicks.

    Former Chalmette star Mitchell Robinson is taking the road less traveled on his path to the NBA Draft. According to a report by Yahoo Sports, the 7-foot center will skip college, and focus on preparing for the 2018 NBA Draft. Robinson, who led the Owls to a 5A state semi-final berth, enrolled at Western Kentucky for two weeks this summer. He left the school, and got a release from the Hilltoppers.
