NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

New Orleans police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a man wanted for stealing a truckload of seafood from a local vendor.

Around 9:30 a.m. on Friday, March 25, , a seafood delivery driver met with the suspect in the parking lot of 3340 Orleans Avenue. The delivery driver unloaded several cases of fish, oysters and shrimp into a black, late model, four-door Mercedes-Benz.

The suspect gave the driver an envelope that was supposed to have a check for the value of the order and drove away in the Mercedes.

The delivery driver then walked back to his truck and opened the envelope but there was no check inside.

The suspect is known as “Corey Coleman.” He is described as a black male in his late 30s or early 40s. He stands  5-feet-8-inches tall with a medium build.

Anyone with information about the incident or where to locate the suspect, please contact any NOPD First District detective at 504-658-6010.
