Covington's FEMA Disaster Recovery Center to close

The Covington location of the FEMA Disaster Recovery Center in St. Tammany Parish will permanently close at 6 p.m. Thursday. 

People in need of services beyond Thursday should visit the Slidell DRC on the first floor of the Towers Administrative Building located at 520 Old Spanish Trail. The Slidell DRC will allow St. Tammany Parish citizens who have suffered losses due to recent flooding access to recovery assistance from multiple agencies. In addition to FEMA personnel assisting residents with their process, Small Business Administration) personnel will also be available to answer questions.

Disaster assistance applicants, who have a speech disability or hearing loss and use TTY, should call 1-800-462-7585 directly; for those who use 711 or Video Relay Service (VRS), call 1-800-621-3362.
