A flash flood watch has been issued for the North Shore beginning Wednesday night and for south of the lake, beginning on Thursday. The threat for heavy rains will linger into Friday. Two to four inches of rain will be possible over parts of the area by the time the rain ends on Saturday. Locally, heavier amounts are possible and that could cause some localized flooding problems.
There is also a risk for severe storms on Thursday and Friday. A slow-moving cold front will finally move across the area by Saturday morning. Right now the weekend looks dry and cooler. I expect a lot of clouds to linger on Saturday with sunshine returning in full by Sunday. Next week looks sunny and dry with seasonable early April temperatures.
