NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

The Pelicans got double-digit scoring from five players in a 101-65 victory over the Nuggets. Only two of those players, Luke Babbitt and Toney Douglas, were on the roster to start the season.

Babbitt went 9-for-25 to reach 22 points while Douglas notched just the fourth double-double of his career. Denver point guard and former Brother Martin Crusader D.J. Augustin had 9 points and 8 assists while the Nuggets were led by Darrell Arthur's 24 points.

New Orleans improves to 28-47, still the sixth-worst record in the NBA. If the season ended today, they would have a 6.3% chance of winning the first overall draft pick in the lottery system. Alvin Gentry's squad is back in action Sunday at noon in Brooklyn.
