Houma police arrested a man Thursday after reports of a possible residential burglary.

Police said they were called to the home in the 100 block of Wimbleton Street just after 4 a.m. on Thursday.

Police said the homeowner walked out of the home and saw a man trying to get into a shed. The suspect ran when the home owner saw him.

Police said while they were patrolling the surrounding streets, they found a man matching the description of the suspect. They identified him as Conner Trahan, 18 of Houma Highland Drive.

During the investigation, police said they determined Trahan was responsible for the burglary. He was booked into jail for simple burglary and criminal trespassing.
