NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -

New Orleans Police detectives say one man robbed two taxi cabs on the same day.

The incidents happened on April 1, 2016.
Police say at about 5:40 a.m. the suspect entered the front passenger seat of an American Taxi in the 300 block of Bourbon Street. The suspect told the driver to take him to the 3400 block of Piety Street. Police say when they got to the location, the suspect implied he was armed and demanded the driver's money. He got away with about $200 cash.

Police say the second incident happened around 9:20 p.m. when the same suspect got into a United Cab at South Peters and Bourbon Street. The suspect told the driver to take him to the 1300 block of Desire Street. Again, when they got to the location, police say the suspect implied he had a gun and demanded the driver's money. He got away with $160 in cash.

Police released a photo of the suspect. If you know anything about the case, you're asked to call Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111.
