Tulane's Grant Witherspoon named AAC Player of the Week

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - Tulane baseball got snowed out Sunday at Connecticut but not even a shortened series could stop freshman Grant Witherspoon from being named American Athletic Conference Player of the Week.

The Wave beat LSU Tuesday before heading to UConn where they split the series with the Huskies. For the week, Witherspoon went 6-for-12 with two home runs, seven runs scored and nine RBIs.

Tulane junior Hunter Hope has earned the honor twice this year.
