LIVINGSTON PARISH (WVUE) - Livingston Parish deputies arrest a man in Hammond for several charges, including possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and on a warrant from the state Office of Probation and Parole.
Detectives said they arrested Christopher Sackett, 27, on April 5. He was booked into the Hammond City jail as a fugitive from Livingston Parish. He was then transported to the Livingston Parish Detention Center.
Investigators said through the course of their investigation, they also added charges of theft of assets of a person who is aged and simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling.
"Detectives learned Sackett entered a residence on Henry White Rd. in Albany without permission of the home owner and stole cash," said Livingston Parish Sheriff Jason Ard. "Detectives are currently investigating to learn how much was taken. Detectives do know at this time that Sackett was able to purchase a television using stolen funds. We were able to recover $691.00 in cash from Sackett. This investigation is ongoing and more arrests are possible."
