NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

Kobe Bryant scored 14 points in the first quarter, unfortunately for the Lakers, that was his total for the entire game. With Bryant' s contributions in his final game in New Orleans non-existent after the first frame, the Pelicans pounced on a weakened Lakers squad to win 110-102.

Alexis Ajinca finished with a career-high 28 points for the Pelicans. Toney Douglas also dropped in 20 points.

The win improves the Pelicans to 30-49 overall, and drops the Lakers to 16-63.
