East Carolina avoids getting swept by Tulane, wins 7-3

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - The East Carolina Pirates salvaged game three of their series against Tulane, avoiding a sweep, by winning 7-3.

The Pirates survived home runs from both Jake Rogers and Grant Brown of Tulane, as well as a three-hit performance from Lex Kaplan.

ECU scored five runs in the sixth inning, giving the Pirates enough leeway to produce a win.

Tulane (21-10, 3-2) returns to action Tuesday night at ULL.
