NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - Will Smith was a legend on and off the field for the Saints. His 67.5 sacks in a 10-year career with the black and gold, got him respect from everyone involved in the game. From the coaches, players, front office, to the broadcast booth, he was loved by all.
"He always seemed to rise to the occasion. I think as a member of the media, even in bad times or a bad loss, Will was always there," said "Voice of the Saints" Jim Henderson. "He's a standup-guy, he would address any question you asked without rancor. I remember his "Mona Lisa" type smile he often had on his face in the locker room afterwards. He just seemed to have the whole thing together. He just seemed to have it all together. Not only as a professional, but as a person as well."
