THIBODAUX, LA (WVUE) -

A 38-year-old woman was arrested Tuesday after allegedly pulling a loaded gun on a juvenile teenager.

Thibodaux Chief of Police Bryan Zeringue said Gail Rhodes, 38, pointed the weapon at the teenager following an altercation.

The incident happened around 4:25 p.m. in the 1300 block of Ridgefield Ave.

Police said the suspect pulled a black handgun on the teenager and threatened to shoot him.

When officers arrived, they found the loaded gun inside her home, according to Zeringue.

Rhodes admitted that she pulled the firearm on the juvenile because of the prior altercation, but claimed she only wanted to scare him and never pointed it at the victim, police said.

Officers arrested Rhodes and booked her into Lafourche Parish Detention Center with aggravated assault of a firearm. She was released after posting a $2,500 bond.
