ST. BERNARD PARISH, LA (WVUE) - St. Bernard Parish President Guy McInnis warns people should not rope off portions of the neutral ground before Saturday's Irish, Italian, Islenos Parade.
McInnis says ropes, tape and stakes on the neutral ground along Judge Perez Dr. cause a public safety concern. He also says vehicles parked too close to corners cause a safety hazard.
McInnis reminds residents that obstructions on the neutral ground include ropes, tents, scaffolds and barricades. He says inspectors will monitor the parade route and will remove any obstructions through Saturday morning.
More than 53 floats and 35 marching groups will hit the streets at noon on Saturday.
