(WVUE) - Rollerblade USA recalled 500 inline skating helmets due to an issue that could lead to head injuries.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said the plastic shells can crack at the spot where the straps attach, possibly causing the helmet to shift on the wearer's head.

Rollerblade said the Maxxum helmets have the model number YJ-219 printed inside them. Click here for additional details.

The recalled helmets were sold online and in sporting goods stores nationwide between November 2014 and January 2016.

Customers can return their helmet to the company for a refund. Click here for contact information.
