NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - The man accused of shooting a Tulane medical student has been ruled competent to stand trial.
Euric Cain is accused of shooting Tulane medical student Peter Gold after he intervened in an alleged attempted kidnapping.
Cain plead not guilty along with Nictoria Washington, the woman charged as an accessory by helping him hide.
There are 23 total charges against Euric Cain and Nictoria Washington.
Prosecutors say Cain shot Good Samaritan Gold after trying to kidnap a woman on Magazine Street. Cain is also accused of kidnapping and raping a couple the next night.
Washington is accused of helping him hide from authorities.
