World War II Museum sets visitation record

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - A record number of visitors toured the National World War II Museum last month.

Museum directors say more than 81,000 guests visited the attraction, smashing the previous month's record of 73,000.

Travel website Trip-Advisory ranks the institution the top attraction in New Orleans for the third consecutive year.

Administrators project the museum will have an economic impact on the state of Louisiana of $108 million by 2017.
