NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

A pair of solo home runs were enough to see 22nd ranked UL-Lafayette past Southeastern Friday night in Lafayette.

It was the third consecutive loss for the Lions as they could only muster one hit against the Cajuns stingy pitching staff. Ryan Eades was responsible for that. A double of the wall in the third. He'd later come home on a sac fly, giving the Lions their only run on the day.

The Cajuns response came in the 4th and 6th innings. Brenn Conrad smacked a two-out solo home run in the fourth and Joe Robbins led off the sixth with a solo shot to right..

Cajuns win game one of this series 4-1. They'll continue it Saturday.
