HAMMOND, LA (WVUE) - No. 22-ranked UL Lafayette scored five runs in the sixth inning to defeat Southeastern Louisiana 5-4, Sunday. The Lions (26-11) led, 3-0, over the Ragin' Cajuns (24-12) before the outburst.
The big highlight for the Southeastern was Carson Crites smashing a solo home run in the fifth, extending the Lions lead to 3-0.
Nick Thurman's RBI double in the sixth made it 5-3 for ULL. It turned out to be the deciding run in the game.
SLU travels to LSU Wednesday night to play at 6:30 p.m.
