Antonio Blakeney forgoing NBA Draft, returning to LSU

BATON ROUGE, LA (WVUE) -

Antonio Blakeney announced Tuesday that he will not submit his name for the upcoming NBA Draft, and will return to play his sophomore season for the Tigers.

Blakeney confirmed the news through LSU Sports Information.

“After consulting with my coaches and with my family, I have decided to return to LSU for my sophomore season,” Blakeney said. “I believe I can further improve my skill set in different areas to become even more effective for my team in the future."

Blakeney was a member of the 2016 Southeastern Conference All-Freshman team. He averaged 12.6 points per game and 3.4 rebounds while starting 24 of the Tigers’ 33 games.
