NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - Federal authorities up the reward for information about a gun store burglary in Tickfaw.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives in conjunction with the National Sports Shooting Foundation is offering a $5,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for stealing firearms from Tickfaw Auction Company, also known as Tickfaw Guns.
The reward is in addition to the $1,000 reward already announced by Crime Stoppers of Tangipahoa.
On April 8, someone broke into Tickfaw guns around 2:00 a.m. and stole numerous firearms.
The reward is part of a national cooperative initiative between the NSSF ad ATF to curb the criminal acquisition and misuse of firearms.
