Seven arrested by FBI on several charges

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -

The FBI New Orleans Violent Gang Task Force, with assistance from other agencies, executed federal arrest warrants Friday morning in the Hollygrove neighborhood, apprehending seven individuals. 

The FBI received assistance from the Drug Enforcement Administration, Homeland Security Investigations, The New Orleans Police Department and the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office. 

According to an FBI spokesperson, the arrests were the result of a federal investigation and the indictment of Brandon Hall, Jonathan Lawrence, Donald Marcelin, and Brian Maxson on charges of conspiracy to distribute heroin and conspiracy to possess firearms. During the execution of the warrants, the following items were seized: one AR-15 assault rifle, three handguns, more than $16,000 of bulk cash, heroin, and a small quantity of crack cocaine.

In addition to the federal indictments and arrests,Lance Stovall, Lydell Stovall and Vonzo Magee were arrested on state charges for narcotics and weapons,

This matter is being prosecuted by the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Eastern District of Louisiana.
