LAKE CHARLES, LA (WVUE) -

We know SLU can swing the bats, but today it was the Lion pitching that won the day.  Three Southeastern Louisiana pitchers combined on a six-hit shutout Saturday, defeating McNeese State 4-0.

The shutout was the Lions seventh of the season. Southeastern (28-12, 15-2 Southland) maintains a half-game lead over Sam Houston State atop the conference standings.

First baseman Jameson Fisher ripped an RBI single in the first, and finished the day 2-for-4.

SLU will wrap up the series at McNeese Sunday at 1 p.m.
