NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - A man was shot in the leg just a block from Lee Circle Sunday morning.
According to NOPD, the victim was walking near the intersection of St. Charles Avenue and Calliope Street around 10:40 a.m. when another man approached him. The two began arguing and one of them pulled out a gun and shot the victim in he leg.
The suspect then fled down Calliope toward Loyola Avenue. EMS transported the victim to a hospital for treatment.
Police describe the suspect as a black male, about 5'5" tall with dreadlocks. He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt and black shorts with blue and white stripes.
