Motorcyclist killed in Tickfaw

(WVUE) - Louisiana State Police Troopers responded to a accident crash on LA-1064, west of LA-1065 (Cherry Street) in Tickfaw on Sunday shortly after 3:30 p.m.

Investigators say 52-year-old Michael S. McDonald of Hammond was riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle when he left the road and crashed into a culvert. He was wearing an approved helmet, but he did not survive the injuries he sustained in the crash.

The Tangipahoa Parish Coroner's Office pronounced him dead on the scene.

Troopers obtained blood samples from McDonald, which will be analyzed by the LSP Crime Lab.
