NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

New Orleans police ask for the public’s help to identify and find two persons of interest in an armed robbery.

Police said it happened in the 5700 block of Baccich Street on April 18.

Police said the victim told them that at about 10:37 p.m., she arrived at her home and as she tried to get out of her vehicle, a man pulled the door open and pointed a black semi-automatic handgun at her. She said she forced her way out of the vehicle, and the man got in and stole her purse, which contained several credit cards, her cellphone and other items.

Police said the victim later told them the man was using her credit card at several places around New Orleans.

On April 19, at about 2:50 p.m., police said two men tried to use the victim’s credit card and sell or open the victim’s cellphone at 5301 Franklin Avenue.

Police said both men arrived at the location in a silver sedan.

Anyone with information on who the men are is asked to call Third District Detectives at (504) 658-6030 or Crimestoppers at (504) 822-1111.
