GRAND ISLE, LA (WVUE) - A Good Samaritan found the body of a missing fisherman on the beach near Grand Isle Tuesday evening.
Larkeis Durell Bradford, 25, was last seen fishing from the Grand Isle Beach near Walnut Lane. He was reported missing to the Coast Guard around 11 a.m. on Sunday.
The Good Samaritan discovered the body around 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
"Coast Guard Sector New Orleans would also like to extend their appreciation to the various agencies and volunteers for their support in the search effort," said Chief Petty Officer Shawn Mount, Command Duty Officer, Coast Guard Sector New Orleans.
The Coast Guard searched 1,112 square miles with surface and air assets, along with Coast Guard Auxiliary, Grand Isle Police and Fire Departments.
