A line of storms dropped more than two inches of rain across the region over the afternoon. Wednesday evening is looking a bit drier, but there's a chance we might see more rain as we head into Thursday morning.
The cold front that pushed through today backs across the area as a warm front keeping plenty of warm, moist air in place. Strong winds pushing across the area could spawn another round of showers as we go into Thursday morning.
With the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival kicking off again on Thursday will be lots of concern. The silver lining is that it looks like the most intense rain will occur early in the day.
For the rest of the weekend Friday and Saturday look mostly dry, but Sunday could be the rainiest day of all to close out the Fest we will have to keep a close watch on the timing.
