AVONDALE, LA (WVUE) -

Sean Payton and Drew Brees were on the move, but not to work out a contract extension. No on this day it was all about golf in the Zurich Classic Pro-Am. In the future a contract extension will happen, but neither side is in a rush right now.

"There's no timeline, no deadline, we're both confident that something will get done when it needs to," said Saints quarterback Drew Brees. "There have been other priorities along the way, free agency and now the draft. I don't think there's any rush. We would all, myself, Saints fans, love to see something get done sooner but i don't think anyone's stressing about it."

Earlier today Mickey Loomis killed rumors the Saints attempted to move up to the number one pick overall. Franchise quarterbacks go with the top draft choice, and the Who Dats already have one of those.

It's always interesting to see some of the information guys put out. Unfortunately lose a ton of credibility, when 99 percent of it is untrue. I think we know who those guys are out there, don't need to say any names," said Brees.

Brees was asked if the door is closing on the Saints on winning a Super Bowl future. He responded, no, the door is just opening for the black and gold.
