NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - The NOPD is investigating a homicide reported Thursday in the Bywater.
Just before 4 p.m., NOPD Fifth District officers responded to the 1000 block of Piety Street, where the body of a man was found. After further investigation, the victim was identified as a 56-year-old black male and the incident was classified as a homicide.
An official cause of death will be determined by the Orleans Parish Coroner's Office, pending an autopsy.
