NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

Thunderstorms over Western Louisiana are moving East and may bring heavy rain with them.

As a result, the National Weather Service has put most of Southeast Louisiana and Southern Mississippi under a flash flood watch until 7 p.m.

The following parishes are included: Ascension, Assumption, East Baton Rouge, East Feliciana, Iberville, Livington, St. Helena, St. James, St. John the Baptist, St. Tammany, Washington, West Baton Rouge and West Feliciana.

In Mississippi, Amite, Pike, Walthall and Wilkinson are all included in the flash flood watch as well.

Heavy rain totaling 2-to-3 inches with localized totals in excess of 4 inches will be possible. Fox 8 will continue to monitor the situation.
