NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - The severe thunderstorm warning issued Sunday morning has expired, but flooding could still occur in several areas.
A flash flood watch is in effect for several parishes in Louisiana until 7 p.m. on Monday, May 2. Widespread rainfall Saturday saturated the ground increasing the chances of flooding as more rain falls today.
The following parishes are under a flash flood watch:
- ST. BERNARD
- ST. TAMMANY
- ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST
- ST. JAMES
The flash flood watch is set to expire Sunday evening.
