ST. CHARLES PARISH, LA (WVUE) -

The St. Charles Parish government is offering sandbags for residents in case of flooding.

The parish set up a sandbagging location at the entrance to the island on Bayou Gauche Road. Tools to prepare sandbags are available at the site.

St. Charles Parish, as well as several surrounding parishes, is under a flash flood watch. Heavy rain saturated the ground Saturday, so although the storm has weakened, runoff could cause flash flooding to occur.
