NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

A French Quarter sunglass store was hit day two days in a row by shoplifters who walked out with thousands of dollars of expensive shades.  The first incident happened April 28, 2016.  Surveillance video shows four women entering the Sunglass Hut store at 600 Decatur Street.  Police say the women stole numerous pairs of sunglasses valued at more than $900.

The very next day, three women were spotted on surveillance video at the same Sunglass Hut.  In this case, police say the trio stole numerous pairs of sunglasses valued at more than $2500.  Detectives say the women then fled in a blue Jeep with Louisiana license plate number ZCG-574.

Police are looking for help in identifying the thieves.  Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Iain Watt or any Eighth District detective at 658-608 or to call Crimestoppers at 822-1111 or toll-free 1-877-903-STOP.  You could receive a cash reward of up to $2,500 for the information leading only to an arrest.
