Three men robbed in Fig Street home invasion

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

Three men were robbed in Monday afternoon during a home invasion.

The incident occurred at 7:30 p.m. in the 8000 block Fig Street.

Three men, two age 22 and one age 21, where in the home when two men burst in the home and committed the robbery.

The suspects, described as black males entered the home and ordered the victims to the floor.

The suspects were wearing white T-Shirts and had tattoos on both arms.

The suspects searched the pockets of the victims taking money, iPhones and wallets.

One victim was also punched in the face by one of the thieves.

    According to the National Low-Income Housing Coalition, to rent a modest two-bedroom apartment in New Orleans you have to make almost $20 an hour.
