NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - The rainy period of rainy days over the last week is now behind us. We will see clouds today but some sunny breaks mixed in. Then by Wednesday, bright sun returns and the big dryout will take place. Temperatures will reach near the 80 degree mark this afternoon with lows tonight in the 50's north and 60's south.
A cold front brings a drop in temperatures and humidity on Wednesday. Skies will clear and will remain sunny for the rest of the week. Overnight lows will be in the 50's north and west of the lake and in the 60's around the city.
Rain stays out of the forecast through Mother's Day and doesn't return until next week.
